High Point, N.C. - Lazzaro Leather is launching a new division at the October High Point Market specializing in UPS-shippable, fashion-forward accent items.

Called LEA, the new division will debut a 23-piece assortment of products at market, including stylish metal and wood benches, bar chairs and stools, TV cabinets, lamps, occasional tables, bookshelves and serving carts. The initial offering will include industrial, rustic, casual and country designs, with pricing in the medium to upper-medium range.

All 23 items in the introductory line will be stocked at Lazzaro Leather's 100,000-square-foot High Point warehouse and available for shipment directly to consumers within 48 hours. LEA products are being sourced from a variety of leading Chinese facilities with capabilities that complement those at Lazzaro's own leather upholstery and occasional plant in Shunde, China.

"Our goal is to create a one-stop-shop of stylish products that work well with the Lazzaro Leather line," said Lauri Cryan, president of Lazzaro Leather. "With LEA, we're giving designers, e-commerce retailers and other customers an eclectic range of pieces that can be mixed and matched with our leather upholstery and accents in living rooms, bar areas and other settings within the home."

Designers represent a key target for the new program, Cryan added. "Our designer business is growing rapidly - and we want to do all we can to support their mission to provide clients with fashionable, on-trend products."

To make it easy for designers to shop the Lazzaro Leather line, the company's High Point showroom is now available for viewing by appointment all year-round, Cryan said. "And we're also expanding our involvements with designers in other markets as well."

Cryan anticipates that the LEA line, which will be shown at Lazzaro's new 16,122-square-foot showroom in the IHFC's Commerce wing, Space 1003, will continue to expand at future markets with additional product categories and styles.

About Lazzaro Leather

Lazzaro Leather is the exclusive distributor for the United States, Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica of Guangdong Lazzaro Sunton Leather Goods, a 26-year-old leather tannery and quality furniture manufacturer located in Shunde, China. The frames of Lazzaro's upholstered furniture and other furnishings are constructed of kiln-dried birch hardwood indigenous to the Shunde area that is virtually knot free and bolted for stability. Lazzaro uses only 100 percent U.S. cowhide in its tannery - covers that are known for being larger and having fewer defects. Lazzaro offers solid-color leathers with a slight waxy hand for its more contemporary designs as well as vintage antiqued leather finishes for more traditional models. Since the company tans its own hides, it is able to monitor the quality in all facets of the tanning process to ensure consistency as well as quality finishes.
